Our Little Artists
A couple of Saturdays ago some neighbors (the Gillquists) had a pancake party. They pulled out the paints and the kids turned into little artists. Elias was particularly engrossed in painting. Long after the other children had migrated to the playground, he remained to finish his masterpiece.
Asher wore his puppy sweats to the pancake party (remember Elias wearing these?!!). He sat so sweetly on the steps with the "big kids" and listened to a story. The whole day Elias called Asher "his puppy," to which Asher would quickly reply "no, I Asher John."
The masterpieces now hang in our pantry/fort. They turned out quite nice.
Blessings!

I love it! Your boys are precious. I especially love the picture of Asher sitting, fully adorned in 'puppy' gear, with that angelic look. You and Jodi have certainly been blessed. But I have to be honest with you – the best was your day at the orchard video. I used to do this very thing with my Gran-Gran when I was little. Watching your kids picking apples, riding in wagons and braving the ‘chill’ left me with that all to familiar nostalgic feeling.
We are all praying for Jodi, please keep me posted. Just from experience, the worst part for me was simply NOT knowing. I knew that regardless the outcome, the Lord would keep me in the shadow of His hand and see me through, it was there I found my peace. However, it was very difficult before my surgery, not knowing what was there – and whatever it was – what it contained. My heart goes out to all of you during this time!
This blog is a great way to keep up with your ever-so-active life. Can’t wait for more….
